Glendale City Council: Dan Brotman

Dan Brotman

Councilmember Dan Brotman is an exceptional legislator with climate bona fides to match. After working as an economist for over 20 years, Dan relocated to Glendale in 2015 to begin a new career as a teacher.

Councilmember Brotman co-founded the Glendale Environmental Coalition and was Chair of the SoCal 350 Climate Action Legislative Committee – proof of his commitment to strong climate action and the environment. As a Councilmember, he has worked to decarbonize Glendale’s energy system, electrify transportation, and curtail the growth of plastics and food waste.

In the future, he aims to use his position to expand urban tree canopies, implement cool pavement and roof programs, harden Glendale’s water & electrical infrastructure, and promote CERT and Fire Wise programs in at-risk neighborhoods.

Climate Action California is glad to see that the Glendale City Council has someone with as much experience and passion for climate action as Councilmember Brotman, and we are excited to endorse him for re-election.
