In his first two years in the Assembly, Chris Rogers has championed vital bills to boost clean energy (AB 388), protect ratepayers (AB 1761) and return electoral power to citizens rather than corporations like fossil fuel polluters. (AB 1984).
Before joining the State Assembly, he made a significant impact as a Santa Rosa City Councilmember (from 2016 – 2024) and Mayor (2020 – 2022), where he led efforts in wildfire recovery, housing affordability, and environmental sustainability. During that time, Asm Rogers made it clear that addressing climate change was one of his top priorities. He created a Climate Action Committee, and helped the city adopt a goal to be carbon neutral by 2030.
