Assemblymember Gail Pellerin has devoted her life to public service. After a long and illustrious career as the chief elections official in Santa Cruz County, she was elected to the Assembly in 2022 and has been a climate ally ever since.
Her 2025 bill AB 1104 removed administrative barriers to help private businesses install more solar panels, and her 2024 bill AB 2503 ensured that gas stoves carry a pollutant label. She also co-authored AB 491, which would have enhanced the CA Natural Resources Agency’s ability to sequester carbon, protect fragile ecosystems, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Assemblymember Pellerin recognizes the importance of leaving a sustainable planet for our children and grandchildren. To that end, she has promised to support policies that:
- Lower greenhouse gas emissions
- Secure strong coastal protections for sea level rise
- Safeguard California’s air and water quality, and
- Provide critical funding for forest management and wildfire response.
Based on her strong record as a climate-friendly legislator, Climate Action California is thrilled to endorse Assemblymember Pellerin for re-election.
