AD 43: Celeste Rodriguez

Celeste Rodriguez

Assemblymember Celeste Rodriguez developed a passion for advocacy and service at a very young age, and that drive has only increased in the years since. She was elected to the San Fernando City Council in 2020, and then the California State Assembly in 2024.

In the short time she has been in the Assembly, Rodriguez has devoted herself to climate justice by authoring bills such as AB 1236 which would have created a grant program to shrink the protection gap in vulnerable and disadvantaged communities, and explored innovative approaches to insurance that build economic resilience in areas at risk for climate disasters. She also authored AB 1424, which would bolster the ability of state prisons to endure weather events like extreme heat.

Because of her demonstrated passion for service and dedication to building climate resilience, Climate Action California happily endorses Assemblymember Rodriguez for re-election.
