Assemblymember Nick Schultz began his career as an attorney, but shifted to politics in 2020 when he won election to the Burbank City Council. In 2023, he became Burbank’s mayor and one year later was elected to the State Assembly.
Since then, he has been an impassioned champion of smart energy solutions that will bring down electricity costs for all Californians. For example, CAC has proudly championed Schultz’s AB 1975, which would require the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) to re-evaluate how the electrical grid is measured in order to distribute energy more efficiently, thus saving money for ratepayers. He has also advocated for banning new PFAS pesticides with AB 1603, a move that will positively affect the health and wellbeing of all Californians.
In his short time as an Assemblymember, Nick Schultz has already proven himself to be a dedicated climate ally unafraid to dive into the deep end to enact meaningful policies. Climate Action California gladly endorses Assemblymember Schultz for re-election.
