Neva has spent more than two decades in Sacramento, working in the Clerk’s offices in both the Assembly and the Senate. Because of this, she might be the most knowledgeable candidate CAC has when it comes to how bills actually become law. And she is dedicated to passing common-sense climate solutions that work for her constituents.
Neva has stated that wildfires are the greatest climate-related threat to her district, which is largely rural and often lacks the resources to transition away from fossil fuels. As such, Neva has promised to take an even-handed approach that will aim to balance electrification with affordability so that no one in her district gets left behind.
She will also prioritize bills that directly boost the physical and mental health of her constituents through clean air, clean water, and conservation of open spaces. In a district that often feels left out of decisions that affect it, Neva will be a powerful representative.
