Senator Josh Becker has served in the Senate since 2020. Before his election to the Senate, Josh served on the California State Workforce Development Board and the Child Care Partnership Council in San Mateo County and was a founding trustee at the University of California Merced.
Josh has also served on many key climate-related legislative committees and has carried numerous climate bills right from the start of his first term focusing on:
- clean energy buildings
- decarbonizing cement
- accelerating electricity transmission improvements
- creating a roadmap to 24/7 clean energy in California
- low-cost financing incentives for building decarbonization, and much more.
During his tenure, he’s helped provide millions of dollars for electrifying homes and buildings and converting parking lots to parks.
