SD 20: Caroline Menjivar

Caroline Menjivar

Senator Caroline Menjivar hit the ground running since being elected in 2022, and immediately demonstrated the kind of bravery in the legislature as one would expect from her background as a Platoon Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps.

Senator Menjivar was the main author of the Senate version of the Polluters Pay Climate Superfund Act of 2025 (SB 684), showing that she is unafraid to stand up to fossil fuel interests. She has also worked to improve the health and well-being of Californians and her constituents by banning toxic aviation fuel (SB 1193), promoting greener schools (SB 1091), and securing $3 million to fix the water treatment system so families in the City of San Fernando have clean, safe drinking water.

Climate Action California believes that Senator Menjivar will be an important ally in our goal of advancing smart, science-based solutions to climate change and adaptation. We are pleased to endorse her for re-election.
