Sasha Renee Perez is a former Mayor of Alhambra and has been a member of the City Council since 2020. Prior to that she worked on the Campaign for College Opportunity and also on the Cal Grant Equity Framework.
She initiated Alhambra’s first, actionable Sustainability Plan in 2022, securing $670,000 in congressional funds. We were also excited to discover that she was named Outstanding Elected Official by Active San Gabriel Valley for her efforts to increase pedestrian safety and walkability in Alhambra, and for encouraging alternate modes of transportation. She has signed the No Fossil Fuel pledge.
As a State Senator Ms. Perez will prioritize increasing access to renewable energy in low-income communities.
