Councilmember Eli Beckman is an architect, entrepreneur, and public servant who has dedicated his life to promoting affordable, practical solutions to the climate crisis. As a private individual, the company he founded — HAUS+ — specializes in sustainable building solutions and is working towards becoming completely carbon-neutral.
And since his election to the Corte Madera Town Council in 2018 (and during his terms as Mayor and Vice-Mayor), he helped Marin County pass its first long-range plan to protect homes from flooding and wildfire. He also championed Marin’s first and only resolution in support of the Polluters Pay Climate Superfund bill, and currently serves on the board of MCE Clean Energy, where he’s pushing to speed the energy transition by reducing the cost of renewable Energy.
Decarbonization is top of mind for Councilmember Beckman, who has promised to stay laser focused on lowering energy costs and accelerating the transition to clean energy statewide.
Councilmember Beckman is already a climate champion, and Climate Action California believes that his commitment to this vital cause will not waver if elected. That is why we happily endorse him for election to the State Assembly.
*NOTE: CAC is endorsing multiple candidates in this race. CAC only endorses candidates we believe will be strong climate legislators, and in this case more than one candidate met our criteria.
