Since her election to the State Assembly, Pilar Schiavo has delivered over $100 million into the pockets of community members through assistance with state agencies district investments addressing climate-related issues like school greening, creating infrastructure jobs, improving clean air and water supply, and increasing healthcare delivery for those most vulnerable to the impacts of climate change.
Asm Schiavo has authored numerous bills aimed at climate adaptation and mitigation by promoting innovative EV infrastructure (AB 823), protecting community water sources (AB 1631), and increasing transparency within the transportation sector (AB 2086). This session, CAC has been a strong supporter of her impactful bill AB 28, which would help California significantly reduce methane emissions from landfills and AB 1132, which would harden our communities against climate disruptions.
